Too Much Rejection
Text: Matt. 13:54-14:13

Some “life assignments” just seem to be too difficult! Add to this a history or track record of failure, and what's the hope!? Yes, as the true identity of Jesus was being revealed, the hope of a new future began to rise.

“And they took offence at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honour except in his own town and in his own home.”” (Matthew 13:57, NIV);
grieving the death of John the Baptist, “When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds
followed him on foot from the towns.” (Matthew 14:13, NIV) apparently death is not the worst thing that can happen to one who is faithful to God!
