All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had. Acts 4:32
Thank you for your continued involvement in the Blessing Bag Project. We are currently collecting items throughout the month of May to replenish our stock for the spring/summer.
Over the course of this past year, the number of individuals within our city needing support has increased. On a monthly basis, we’ve encountered at least 25 men and women asking for food, clothing, and other practical items. As a church, we’ve typically met this need by providing grocery cards but when the Community Engagement Team (CET) met this past spring, they felt God’s calling to provide something more. That something more is what we’ve called “Blessing Bags“.
This is where you come in…
We’ve provided a list of requested items in a sign-up sheet along with the quantity for each item. IMPORTANT – we recommend committing yourself to one item, rather than purchasing an entire blessing bag on your own.
Are you ready to share what God has blessed you with? If so, click here to sign-up for an item of your choice?
Q1: Where do I bring my items, once I’ve purchased them?
A1: Please bring your items to the church. There will be a tote placed in the foyer between the two main doors for the worship centre
Q2: How long do I have to collect the items I’ve signed up for?
A2: The deadline to supply your items is March 5, 2023, but you can drop them off any time. Contact Pastor Tony Community@DalhousieChurch.com if you are dropping off items during a weekday.
Q3: I’d like to buy all of the items to complete a blessing bag, can I do that and how much should I be looking to spend to fulfill 1 bag?
A3: Yes, you can, click here to view the Blessing Bag checklist and you’d be looking to spend approximately $50+ per bag.
Q4: Can I give money to the Blessing Bag project?
A4: Yes, you can. Go to DalhousieChurch.com/Give and select Benevolent Aid Fund from the drop-down menu and add “Blessing Bag” in the memo section.
