Shane Woodlief

Shane Woodlief

Lead Pastor

Shane is first and formost a Jesus follower.  He truly believes this is the best way to live life. He is convinced that living a life modelled after Jesus will allow him to be the best husband to his wife (Lori), the best father to his two children (Conor and Mackensey) and the best pastor he can be for DCC.

Shane is highly engaged in the lives of others to be a catalyst for healing and restoration to those who are broken and marginalized. He believes that the best way to accomplish this is through deep and caring relationships.  Because of the way Jesus lived life, Shane wants to lead the local church to care about those that Jesus cared about - to encourage others to invest their lives in things that matter. Hosea  - a prophet/preacher - said that people’s lives are ending in ruin, unfulfilled and empty because they don’t know God.  Shane believes this is why the church exists - to bring people into relationship with God which in turn will bring purpose, direction and fulfillment to their lives.

Shane is a family man - he really enjoys being with his family.  He loves to read, watch football (NFL) and soccer, and is trying to understand hockey.  He enjoys hanging out with people and cultivating genuine friendships.  He loves his dog Izzy and he tolerates his daughter’s cat, Cougar.
